Miyoko's Organic Cultured Soy-Free Vegan Butter is made from mostly fermented cashews (meaning it has naturally occurring probiotics which are great for your gut microbiome) and coconut oil.


It's my favorite dairy-free butter because you can use it 1:1 any way you would use regular dairy butter - including for baking and browning!


If you have a nut allergy, try the Miyoko's Oat Butter (contains coconut oil if you have a tree nut allergy).


Most other vegan butters are just 100% solidified industrially refined canola or vegetable oils which we already get a lot of in packed ultra-processed foods, restaurant food, fast-food, etc., so I recommend trying a more well-balanced product like the Miyoko's butter!


If you're worried about eating the Miyoko's butter at all because it does contain sunflower oil, research shows eating large amounts of industrially refined seed oils from a diet largely made up of ultra-processed foods is the main concern.


Cooking at home with a little bit of seed oils like the sunflower oil present in this dairy-free butter as long as it's part of a well-balanced diet won't have any effect on all-cause mortality.
