Expeller pressed or cold pressed avocado oil in a dark bottle is what you want to look for in place of inflammatory Omega 6 rich vegetable, canola, grapeseed, sunflower, safflower oil, etc.

Primal Kitchens and Chosen Foods are my two favorite brands.

Skip the refined avocado oil in the clear bottle that only costs $6. It may not contain all of the health promoting vitamins and polyphenols found in an expeller pressed variety.

I love avocado oil because it has a high smoke point which means you can fry, broil + grill with it.

It has a neutral flavor so it's especially good for cuisines that don't traditionally use olive oil like Indian, Mexican, Asian, etc.

Avocado oil is full of vitamins A, E and D, magnesium and beneficial omega 9 fatty acids. It's been found to fight inflammation and cancer, improve cardiovascular health and vision, contribute to weight loss and so much more.

This series was designed to help you change your life one ingredient at a time.

Every time you run out of an inflammatory ingredient in your pantry or fridge, add it to your grocery list + replace it with it's anti-inflammatory counterpart the next time you shop.

It's how I started stocking my pantry in 2015 when I started my autoimmune healing journey and how dozens of foodies with autoimmunity inside my Autoimmune Edible Rx Course + Coaching Program are doing it right now!

Want to learn more about what to eat to heal autoimmunity?
