2 c frozen organic strawberries
1 c local or organic honey or dark maple syrup (or your favorite refined sugar free sweetener)
1/2 lemon, juiced
~2 T of filtered water
32 oz. sparkling water
Splash of Trace Minerals
Strawberries, lemon slices or mint for garnish (optional)
Place frozen raspberries, lemon juice, and honey in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook for a few minutes until strawberries are tender.
Taste and adjust by adding more honey or lemon to your liking if needed then chill completely.
Add a splash of Trace Minerals to sparkling water (we use a Soda Stream).
Fill 2 pint glasses with ice. Add 2-3 tablespoons of syrup then top with sparkling mineral water. Taste and adjust flavor by adding more syrup if you want it sweeter or a splash of lemon juice if you want it more tart. Garnish with strawberries, lemon slices or mint if using then serve.
NOTE: Use whatever frozen fruit you have on hand or your favorite fresh in-season fruit to switch this up throughout the year!
