Everything You Need to Know About the October Meal Plan

Busy season is upon us as we approach the holidays so the theme of the October Meal Plan is "30 Minute Meals"!

Great for families, busy professionals, novice cooks or anyone starting their healing journey!

This month there are 10 different 30 Minute Recipes that you can repeat for weeks 3 and 4 in the month or if you're in our private online group, you can pull up some other quick cooking meals from previous meal plans under the Files tab in the group (February and June are both quick cooking meal plans)!

Everything you need to execute this meal plan can be found at your local grocery store!

Here are some of the specialty Flare Free ingredients needed this month (specific brand suggestions are included in the meal plan):

-Plain Unsweetened Soy-Free Vegan Yogurt

-Gluten/Dairy/Sugar Free Chicken Sausage

-Grain Free Rice

-Wild Caught Shrimp

-Thai Red Curry Paste

-No SugarAdded Uncured Bacon

-Soy-Free Vegan Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Because these are all super simple quick cooking meals, the notes of each recipe will have suggestions for extra sides you can make if you have time/interest in doing so!

If you're on a plant based diet, don't fret - each recipe has suggestions highlighted in pink for how to make each dish vegan if needed!

My favorite part of the meal plan is the two weekly prep lists on page one that teach you how to cook once and eat for days!

I suggest you get yourself some glass containers to store your meals in if you like to individually package your meals to take to work with you or leave for your partner if you have different schedules, etc.

If you're new to the Flare Free Cooking Academy, here are my steps for using a meal plan:

  1. Print the meal plan

  2. Figure out which meals you want to make

  3. Check your pantry and cross off any ingredients you already have on hand

  4. Order groceries or go shopping for what you need

  5. Set up your kitchen according to my tips for meal prepping if you're going to batch cook on your day off (found in the private support group under Events > How to Batch Cook Once and Eat For Days)

  6. Read through the recipe once before you start.

  7. Set your proteins out to come to room temp while you chop all your veggies and measure all of your ingredients.

  8. Cook!
